I use felt for the teens to make Christmas ornaments and little decorations. I have what I call a Christmas craft box, In this I place Christmas materials, yarn, felt, (different colors) sissors, craft bood ideas, glue guns, beads, buttons and paper, popcycle sticks along with package of thin wood cut outs, like stars and such.... I then have my granddaughter invite friends over and let them make a mess with lots of laughter along with cookies and treats. It is a wonderful time. In my younger years I always had the kids over to string pop corn and make pop corn balls, just anything to bring children together. Still do as a granny. Making good memories. Save your felt, if you have children / grands make a fun box.... ((((hugs)))

I have lots of tablerunners with felt instead of batting, they lay nice and flat.

Mother in law had a wallhanging that had a little moisture from a hot summer while on the wall and the felt color ran all over.

Must be checked before anything is done.

I use it for Christmas ornaments too. I trace cookie cutters for my template and whipstitch pieces together with embroidery floss. Someone will surely want it if you decide to yard sale it.

My design wall is a large piece of felt! I hang it from a cafe rod that is resting on a wide set hooks that hangs over a closet door in my sewing room. Works like a charm and can be folded away!

I do the framed QAYG hexagons and use this for the "batting". Felt has come a long way.

If you decide to put it in your yard sale, why don't you donate it to a girl scout troop or a home for people of limited abilities (ARC) or to a nursing home activities director. They use this a lot in doing little projects.

I've seen where lots of people are using it in potholders. that's what I'm going to do with some of mine that I inherited.

What does one use felt for? If you use it for batting in table runners, can it be washed without getting all wadded up and whatnot?
I read that someone uses it for potholder batting - should I save it to use it for that?
Wondering does it fade when wet ?
