Welcome to the Quilting Board!

Asking a seamstress to mend is like asking Picasso to paint your garage.
BSR 1 you need to use the foot pedal
BSR 2 is activated by moving the fabric sandwich
Hope this helps

I like to use BSR #1 because I need my foot control. I thought it wold be easier to just concentrate on moving the fabric but I could not get used to it. I broke a needle and went to take the quilt out of the machine.....the broken needle punched a couple of holes in the quilt before I realized by moving the quilt it was still sewing. Yikes that scared me and will stick with #1 for now.
I prefer 2, I feel I have more controll
You do not need the foot control for BSR 1, You use the blue button for on and off. In the BSR 2, it goes and stops with the movement of your fabric. I prefer BSR 2, becuase of the control you have.
