Another Martelli fan here .... When the pedal pad begins to slip any at all just wipe it real well with a damp towel and it's good as new. Best one I've found in my 50+ years of sewing.... Good luck!

[QUOTE=PaperPrincess;7750114]I also sew on hardwood floors. I think I have tried everything. The only thing that worked for me was a piece of wood. One machine is in a SewEZI cabinet, positioned next to my dining room table, so basically out in the middle of the room. I put a thin strip of wood, almost the exact size & shape of a hardware store wooden yardstick, against the legs of the table, then butted the pedal against that.

    Absolutely genious!!! Thank you!

Everything I have tried just skates across our Pergo. Gotta try some of the ideas here. Thanks for the tips!

I bought a quarter yard of shelf liner from Joanns (ended up costing $1.75). I use a piece under the foot and use smaller pieces under my hands when machine quilting. I don't like the feel of gloves and got the idea from a quilting teacher on a Craftsy class. Since it is 54" wide, I have a stash of pieces that will last a lifetime.

Sorry, Clmay, but the web sight didn't come up. I was really interested in seeing it.

All I can say is, you all are a very clever group of people.

These are very creative ideas...I appreciate this board for that reason...so many creative minds on here! I am trying the mouse pad to see if it works but mine is old..so I will pick up a new one to replace it...maybe 2 if it works! I found the martelli one on Amazon for 9.01 so I might try it if nothing else works. Thanks everyone!

I have the same basic idea as PaperPrincess only mine are the wooden shipping slats that screw into the cabinet feet. Works like a charm. No peddle movement.

Martelli sells this material called "get a grip." You can buy sheets or you can buy it specifically for the pedal (https://shop.martellinotions.com/no-...oot-pedal.html). It also appears to be on sale. I bought the sheets, cut it to size, and I really like it.

Hi, There are quite a few videos on youtube and I think this is the simplest idea yet:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7KkZtgTujI Here's another good tutorial: http://so-sew-easy.com/non-slip-sewi...oot-pedal-pad/ Now that I've seen the first idea though, that's the one I'm going to try...... Sorry, I just read further and I hope I'm not duplicating another post.
