    Default Big Stitch Quilting

Quick question regarding big stitch quilting: Does the quilting need to be a bit closer together because the stitches are bigger? I'm using 50/50 cotton bamboo batting which can be quilted up 8 inches apart, but would I be better off doing it a bit closer together?

I don't and have not had issues but the largest space I left was maybe 5-6 inches.

I have done big stitches with Hobbs batting. Normally I wouldn't leave an 8" square unquilted. Just don't want the batting to shift.
