WinZip--I must be doing something wrong
#1
I am new to machine embroidery and just shaking my head in dismay. I download the free designs, click on "extract" in Winzip on my computer. I assume they get unzipped. Should I be able then to see the designs (pes)on my computer or do I only see them when I transfer them to a thumb drive and put them in my Brother embroidery machine?

When I unzip mine, a new folder of the unzipped file appears in a new window.
The zipped and unzipped file should both be in the same place you designated them to download to. You can delete the zipped file, as you don't need it anymore. :D:D:D
I am not sure what you mean by "see them?"

If you have an application, which can read .pes files on your computer, you can assign that application to the .pes extension and it will be used to open up that type of file. This would be some sort of embroidery design software package. If you do not have this type of sofware on your PC, you will only be able to see the designs on your embroidery machine.
