I sewed my finger last year as well... I hope you will heal quickly!

Personally, I stopped using the stop/start button and went back to using the foot pedal. I was afraid I would do something like what happened to you. I have klutz-tendencies so I thought I'd better be more careful. I hope that you heal quickly Quilt4u.

My sister did that when she was a teenager. I was the only one home with her at the time. She made me come and unscrew the needle to get her finger out. All the time she is screaming at me. Blood was going everywhere. After we got her finger unsewn, she went to take care of it and told me I had to get all the blood out of the machine before Mom got home. I was about 11 at the time. Thank goodness I had been sewing for a couple of years myself, so I could take care of it. I do not think Mom ever found out about it.
