I recently made a baby quilt and accidentally ironed a vertical blue chalk line that I had used for spacing. It didn't come out--I tried a lot of different things. You know what; my son and daughter-in-law never noticed it. I believe it will eventually wash out anyway, but I didn't want to keep washing the quilt to get it out. No one at the baby shower noticed it except me. Everyone LOVED the quilt. Things that stand out to you may never be noticed by others.

So very sorry this happened to you and I hope against hope that you find a solution.
This raises a question, though: Does the blue marker carry a warning that heat, as in ironing, will set the color? Because if not, it should! The manufacturer should know what their product does and let consumers know, too.

Your quilt is beautiful and feel your pain with the markings that did not come out. I had a problem with blue chalk (I think it was) and some suggested using Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser for walls. It did work so this could be another idea to try. Good Luck.

I don't know it this will help but if did for me when I had a colour run on a quilt, popped it into the machine on a cold rinse with a half a cup or so of salt. did the trick and set the colours, I do hope you have found a cure.

After trying just about every product suggested, including Blue Line Eraser, many times & washing the quilt 6 times, ....I gave up & shipped the quilt to my friend. She got it on Monday. Even tho she could see the blue lines in a few of the miter seams, she loved it .
From now on I will remove any blue lines before pressing/ironing period!

There is a product in the art department of Hobby Lobby called "Kiss Off"...it took acrylic paint out of my husbands cotton slacks after they had been washed and dried...May want to keep some of that on hand...I noticed no one mentioned this...so it might be worth a try if anyone else has this problem...
