Anyone planning on going to Borders Book Store - going out of business sale to pick up some quilting books?

Everything is up to 40% off - but not the online store yet.

Here in California, Borders went out of business last year - Darn! I stocked up on a bunch of books during the last week, but boy was it picked over!

Our store had been very popular. They planned for a week for the final closing sale, but most of the product was gone by day 3. I managed to see it on day 2 when I bought my stuff, and again on day 6 - where only about 3 rows of books and a bunch of racks were all that was left.

Sorry to see them gone. I enjoyed them much more than B&N.

I didn't get there this weekend so plan on stopping tonight on my way home. I hope there are some good books left.

I just came from the one in Vegas and it was a disaster. I was shocked because most stuff was only 10 % off. The only thing I saw that was more was the romances at 25% off and the magazines were 40% off. I am sure the rest will get bigger discounts as they go along. But wow, not sure if it will be worth sifting through the mess. The store we went to was one of the newest in Vegas and in a very nice area.
