sugggestions needed on selecting border for quilt....Ideas??
I want to add a 2 1/2" - 3" border....Unfortunately I miscalculated my darker fabric and there is none to be found anywhere... :cry: so I need help... :roll:

I'd keep it simple and just use your dark blue, about the same width as the size of your 1/4 squares in your main block .... let your pretty pattern dominate from edge to edge.

Being that you don't have any left, is there any chance you could get it at another store? Or just use the turquoise and bind it as is.

It's a beautiful quilt. If you can't find that particular dark blue, how about a different darker blue?

What about some other color? Like a red in the same tone?? (that may be too wild...) Oooo... or a red in the same pattern as one of the blue patterns in the center??

Nice quilt. I used that same blue paisley. Take the quilt to your fav LQS and pick something slightlly darker than the dark blue background. Don't try to match it. A darker blue will really make the quilt pop.
