My kids got this machine for me for Xmas. I wish they had asked me 1st ! I have had nothing but issues the 5 or 6 times I have tried to use it !

I get bird nests.......& the bobbin thread ( bottom thread) is too loose.

I know "trouble on the bottom, fuss w/ the top". I went to Brothers site & tried (more than once) their suggestions ! rethread the machine, the bobbin, new needle everything w/out success.

Now I'll ask the experts..people like you that know machines & use them extensively !
I am opened to any suggestions w/ THANKS

I know this sounds funny, but did you check to see if you put the bobbin in in the right direction? Mine has to go in a certian direction or there's problems.

I would double-check the threading, both bobbin and top.

Some people recommend the little Teflon circles that you can put in the bobbin case with the bobbin. Said it eliminates birds nests on the back.

Make sure your bobbin is in correctly and check which direction you are supposed to thread your needle.

I have a CS 6000 and love it. The only problem I have is that sometimes the bobbin doesn't wind tight enough.
