Cashing in on selvage fad

I think it's not as funky looking as using a mixture of different salvedges and not as satisfying as using up something that would probably been tossed. I'll keep saving and using my own. But its a boon to those who like the look but prefer not to spend time saving and using thier own salvedges.

A little binge on Fabric.com....
I'm in for a yard.
I'm not so sure I'm really wild about this one - partially because it's printed on the bias. I really liked the Moda "Bobbins and Bits" one more. And there was a different one a couple of years ago, IIRC.
In other related news, I got the Cloud 9 Fabrics for the ~~~Ribbon Box Quilt~~~ . I've been salivating over this one for about a month. LOL

Just think you get the look with out all the sewing and how is this different than the shirts, pants and shoes that are purchased with logo's on them. If people are dumb enough to pay to advertise for the seller than the seller will take advantage.

Hi Manysts
Welcome to the board!
I would love to see pics of your design boards.
This fabric must have been pretty popular. This thread was originally posted in 2014, and this fabric is still available in some stores. That's a pretty good run for any fabric these days!
I've used it myself to make a sewing machine dust cover.

I have a purse made of selvages but it has worn out. Would love to use this as the lining to a new purse! I love working with selvages - cut 1.5" off so that some of the "real" fabric shows. It is helpful to keep these anyway in case you run out before finishing a project. My selvage stash has come to my rescue several times!
