Christmas gift feedback
Since Christmas we have recieved some wonderful feedback from family, freinds, customers, and customers friends and relatives about how pleased they were with gifts we had made for them. These compliments are the reason we do what we do. It made us happy to see the smiles on their faces and hear the joy and excitement in their voices when they recieved them or talking about the reactions when they gave them to their loved ones. They obviously know the hard work that went into making the items. Of course there were some sad stories we recieved about how some customers that had made or gave items for their loved ones, and when they open them just tossed them off to the side, or let their kids walk and trample all over them. We know from having our shop for a while that there will always be some that just don't know or appreciate the work that goes into the items we make, but it sure feels good to see and hear the good reactions and feedback when we get it. What are some of the reactions you recieved from the items you gave this Christmas?

This year it was all positive! Last year, I made my MIL a fleece vest and appliqued flowers on the front and back. She was drooling over them at a festival that we went to in the summer so I know she really wanted one but didn't want to spend the money. She unwrapped it, said (and I quote) : "Oh my god, it's beautiful. Let me hang it up!" And that is where it has been since Christmas day 2010!

Most of my gifts were small, but I've gotten lots of accolades on all of it. One GD has already thanked me five separate times for her table runner. I was told our two young GS's were playing on their play mat I made for them all day. DH made some wooden toys & banks for them & they were loved too!

I made lap quilts for friends this year (http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...t172431-7.html), but the most gratifying was the bed I made for Charlie:

Made my DIL'S, potholders, and kitchen towels tied nicely and added a wooden spoon.. One DIL said "we can sure use these"! My other DIL said to me, "homemade gifts are the best". Made me feel good! Of course I joked, that I didn't make the spoon! We laughed!

Positive comments to the gifts I made this year...but I did only small gifts...small zippered bags called Abby's Treasure Box by This and That patterns...so fun to make...they use charm squares. Here is a link to the pattern:http://www.thisandthatpatterns.com/g...reasurebox.jpg
Of course, couldn't give them empty, so had some small gifts inside each one.
I made them for my family so far, but will be making more for other gifts.
