I've seen them a fabric shops and are around $20. My son made mine and I got it for Christmas in '09. Mine has more slots (11) for rulers or whatever I want to stick in there. It measures 5 1/2" X 20".

Thanks for sharing the measurements on yours, I was thinking last night that it wouldn't be to hard to make.

It doesn't look any worse than mine! You said you've cleaned it up now, so I actually looks better than mine, I'm sure.

That is an awesome sewing room. And where did you get that teal chair? I want one. I can barely move around my sewing room. I need to clean it up too but after I do it, it doesn't look much better. I guess I need to dispose of some things.

Please let me know where you got the chair. I need one because the back broke off of mine. Thanks.

Just as a thought, I know many of us have smaller spaces, but I had a fair amount of blank wall space, even after using a portion for a design wall. I used to use those round ruler hangers, from JoAnn's, but got tired of rooting thru all the rulers to get to the one I needed. So I just used some push pins and hung them on the wall, behind the door, dead space as it opens into the room and the door was right at the corner of the room. I found some room at the side of the closet to hang the smaller rulers together in the same way. I then decided to use the dead space by a bookshelf in front of the closet for the shaped templates.

I'll have to have my son show me again how to put pics on the computer and post. (Course now I'm obligated to pick up the room. I have to anyway, management company is coming next week to do yearly walk-thru, even tho' the lease is up in June.)
