From personal experience, I have found what I like in a LQS and have written down the info. Later, have gone into 1,000 bolts and found the fabric for 1/2 off and more than the LQS. Same product, same quality. It's a wonderful option if you're looking to generally add to your stash.
I haven't ordered fabric by mail yet. I am a toucher and want to know just what that fabric feels like. I will check them out, though.[/QU?OTE]
I will check it out, too, but I like to feel the fabric & look at the colors in person. Choosing colors is such a personal experience, how can you trust what you see on a computer monitor?

I ordered from them a few years ago, a great fabric by Avlyn, for my staff's uniform tops (my cafe in Vanuatu) and the salesgirl on line was SO helpful!! I called on the computer (skype) from Vanuatu, and she got the fabric still on the large rolls from the mfg and send it to a freight forwarder that was sending a container to us. I got something like 120 yards, and she discounted it to about $3.00/yard!! When I tried last year, she wasn't there anymore, and the person I talked to wasn't nearly as helpful, and didn't seem to want to go that extra mile to fill a large order. The first time, she sent me snippets of fabrics she could get that quantity in after I told her which ones I liked that they had on-line. I ended up getting it from Joann's-really nice Susan Winget mexican print, and because I wanted so much, they got it in from the warehouse, and I was able to use my 50% coupon on the lot!! They considered it 1 cut of fabric. I was a very happy camper!! I usually like to see, smell, feel, fondle, etc my fabric, so I try not to buy on-line now that I am back in the States.

lol, you're funny ;-) Definitely a good company. You're right in that they don't disappoint. If I get something I don't like it's probably because I was up late at night ordering when I shouldn't, then there is a little squabble among the residing fabrics here, but they get over it pretty quickly ;-)

I absolutely LOVE Thousands of Bolts. I wouldn't buy anywhere else online. I tried Connecting Threads, but there are few, if any, brand names there and TofB has loads of them which means better fabric. It's not the brand new designs, but I don't care. If I like it, I want it and their selection is incredible. To me, CT fabric is thin and nowhere near the quality of TofB, plus TofB pricing is amazing for what you get.
Just got my 10+ yards of fabric in the mail that I ordered late Friday night from 1,000 bolts, and as always, they never disappoint. Consistently great fabric, good prices and wonderful service. Now I'm about to bring the package up to the sewing room and introduce my new fabric to the rest of my stash and hope there will be no scrabbling between them. Pinks and Oranges are divas and in general, don't get along very well side by side but the rest are team players.

I am so glad to hear that. I have thought of ordering from them but now I will feel more comfortable doing so esp. with hearing from others today and other times about their fabric being quality.

BTW -- everytime I tried quick reply and hit submit, I received a message asking if I was sure I wanted to leave the page. It is like the submit button is linked to the wrong action.
