A nice, scientific approach! Thank you for taking the time to test all the colors under both dry & steam iron. Thanks to your test I even feel safe using the red & pink because I mark very lightly and don't use steam.

Isn't it nice to find something that just works the way it says and doesn't cost too much? : )

My pleasure. I'm just glad it can help others. That's just one of the wonderful things about this board and it's members. We get to share ideas, tips and inspiration!

Thank you for sharing your experiment with us. All great info. I have used them also with no problem but I haven't used them a lot. Not for a whole quilt anyways. I have used them on small projects.

As long as Crayola doesn't catch on, rebrand this formula as "quilt markers" (with an astronomical price) and change the UC formula to something that doesn't wash out as well.

And like the others, many thanks to you NatalieF, for posting this for us all.

I have used these myself, but never ironed over my marks. I have not had any problems with them washing out.

I did approximately the same test and had the same results. Good to have them verified!

I did find they don't come out with a damp cloth. I don't always wash my quilts when I'm done with them

Kudos for the test and the pictures. As they say pictures are worth a thousand words...or something like that. Thank you for taking the time and sharing your results.

Sadly, these markers are not sold over here in the UK..... They only do the ordinary thick washable ones!

Maybe be one day they will sell them over here!

Hugs

Caroline
