Creating bags out of reusable shopping bags.
#1
I remember seeing a "how to" ages ago, on how to turn those cloth reusable shopping totes into your own designer bag. It went through the steps of covering the whole thing.
And of course, now that I actually want to read it, I can't find it anywhere. Have searched and either I'm going blind or I'm losing my marbles! ;) I can't remember if it was here, or was a link to somewhere else shown on here.
Does anyone remember it?

Yes, I remember the posting, but have no idea where it is. Sorry.

Here's a website that has lots of bags you can make. It might have something you can use: http://tipnut.com/35-reusable-grocer...free-patterns/

I think I found it. Whew! Took using lots of different key words. I put in 'reusable shopping' and hit on this one. It looks like what you described. Yeah!!!!

Thank you, I did see that one :)
The one I remember did the whole shopping bag though. It's probably easier to just have a go and figure it out myself, I'm being lazy trying to find the instructions! lol

Blue, I'm a new member of this board, but you're an old friend because I've been a phantom member for a long time and always love seeing your posts. I had noticed you on another forum and meant to say "Hi" there. I've missed you and am glad to "see" you again. I still love to see pics of the real blue chicken - I wonder if they would be compatible with my barnyard chickens. What a cross they would make with my chickies. Are you still doing the "Jane" quilt? I got to see Klue's pic yesterday.

Blue, It is so good to see you on the board again. Is the blue chicken the Takehae?
We went to Tititiri Matangi Island last year when we were in NZ and met Greg the naughty Takehae that is the mascot.
Here are the pics we took. He roamed all over even in the gift shop. He wasn't frightened of people at all. He seemed to get attached to hubby for a while...hmm...just after the second pic was taken, he ahhh...nipped my DH very close to a very tender part of his anatomy! LOL
