I only clip curves like in Drunkard's Path, Double Wedding ring, New York Beauty etc. If I'm doing small projects with curves or scallops I use my pinking shears.

I usually try to clip my curves, too.

I love this description. I haven't tried curves yet, but will likely clip.

I learned to clip curves in Home Ec as well. However, I was shown a method without clipping that works fairly well. Now I only clip curves for bulky items like bags.

In garments, I always clip and notch curves.

In quilts, I try not to ever clip or notch. The seam allowances in a Drunkard's Path will usually lie flat after you press the block.

In applique, if the piece isn't starched into submission before I sew it down, I can usually pick and nudge at the turned edge and get it to lie down, but I do occasionally resort to clipping.

I try to clip my curves. I like the pinking shear idea! But for me it would be hard to keep from cutting the seam.

I clip, mostly because my curves never seem to want to lie flat, regardless of how narrow the seam. I learned from my 4-H teacher and my grandmas to clip. When clipped, they really lie nice and flat and totally behave. When not clipped, the seams are bulky, awkward, and in general just don't behave.
