I want to embroider my nephew and his brides names on their wedding quilt--should I do it before or after I put the quilt together? Also, I want a kind of antique looking script---any suggestions?

unless you are planning to use the embroidery as quilting- i would get the embroidery done before constructing the quilt- it is alot easier to do while it is small
you can choose a font you like on the computer- print it the way you want it to look and trace it onto your blocks with a wash-away pencil-using a light box- or a window= to embroider over

It is personal preference. For me, if it is a small area and I won't have to quilt through it, I will add it before the quilt top is put together. :D:D:D

Are you hand or machine embroidering?

I'd embroider the names on a separate piece of fabric and work the fabric into the quilt.
