Has anyone purchased a sewing machine from Sewing Machines plus?
I am wondering if anyone on this board has had any dealings with Sewing Machines Plus. They seem to have fair prices, but was wondering about buying on line rather than in person locally. A new machines would be a large investment for me. Any information would be very much appreciated.

Never had any experience with them. I bought one inexpensive machine on ebay years ago just for a backup. I can sort of relate to your dilemma. I am looking at a new machine myself. The new model is out and the "retired" model is available for a little less on line, but I am hesitant to spend that much on a machine without knowing for sure that a local dealer do warranty work on it if needed. Just my two cents.

Yes, I have. Brought my Juki from them. Great customer service. the Juki is not fancy but I saved $300+ buying thru them. I thought about getting (if needed) warranty service done locally, and weighed my options. It would cost less than $300 to ship it back (if need be). Juki has a great machine and I was confident I would not have to send it back, and I didn't. This has been over 2 years. I do have a fancy Baby Lock that I brought locally and have great customer service with them. (M&R Sewing in Madison Wi). I have also purchased other things from them and have had a good experience with all my orders.
weigh all your options. is it a fancy embroidery machine? you may want to stay local for support. Take Sewing Machine Plus price to your local shop and see if they can match it? They just might, to make the sale. No hare in trying.
You are worth it...... Get that new machine and have a great time sewing.

I bought a Juki serger from them a few years back. The machine arrived quickly, as did most of the freebies that were supposed to come with it. I did have to wait about 3 weeks for the bonus feet that came with it because they were out of stock (not that big of a deal, I hardly ever use those feet anyhow). I wouldn't hesitate in buying from them again.
If you buy a machine online, you might want to make sure there is someplace local that can service the machine for you. I happen to have a Juki repair shop a few blocks from my house.
