Storm at Sea is an excellent quilt for a beginner - you have to match a lot of lines, but it's not really difficult otherwise. The payoff is a wonderful optical illusion of circles despite all lines being straight.

Jan's pictures of off-center Log Cabins are wonderful. Log Cabins are among the simplest of quilts to make. And you can play with the finished blocks forever to decide how you want the finished quilt to look.

Have fun with whatever you decide! And take pictures to show us.
