I have been wanting to try doing some designs on my quilts with wool felt but don't know anything about it. Would like to hear from anyone that does it, with good results [bad results would be welcomed also]. Does the felt shrink when washing the quilt? Does it hold up well? I have seen a few quilts that look lovely with felt flowers etc.

if you are using wool felt- it shrank when it was felted- it's done-
wool is wonderful to work with- and makes fabulous applique- the edges do not fray so no turn under headaches-===
jump in and try it!

I am thinking I might put an ad on here or CL to see if there are people who may want to sell their scraps of felt because I would probably use a lot of different colors. I doubt I would ever cover a whole quilt. I think a design on a wall hanging would be a nice start.

I also am very interested in felting a quilt! Joanns on line does sell wool for felting. I have bought three packages for felting soap and very happy with it. I am now looking into using felting in my quilts. I do have a video on felting using cookie cutters on my blog. I can't wait to try that! I may go to Joanns today to buy the felting needles.
