Default Finishing a GFG table runner

Does anyone know how to finish a GFG table runner? I do not want to applique it onto separate squares & join the squares, just join the flowers together into the length and width I want to achieve. I have seen where it is appliqued onto another piece of fabric with a border but that also is not what I am looking to do. I know what I want to do just don't know how to do it as I have never seen the back side a GFG quilt when it is finished.

you could sew it face down onto the backing and birth it.
