Finished sewing the backing together for my husband's quilt. Tried a block yesterday... loved it... made two more... did the calculations for a queen size quilt. Cut out all of the pieces for one of the three colors in the quilt. Hopefully will be able to rotary cut one of the other two colors tonite.

This was de-stash weekend. Been talking about it for 5 years, moved into new house 2 years ago and finally decided yesterday morning...now IS the time! Loaded up 2 banker boxes (1 completely full and the other more than half; all fat eights and quarters). Posted a come get note on our neighborhood Yahoo group and both boxes gone. Now spending the afternoon putting the keepers in order and trying out the DeNiece thingies for display storage in bookcases.

I'm thinking about fancying up a red t-shirt to wear to school tomorrow (elementary school teacher) featuring Valentine's Day and Arizona's 99th birthday!

Made a cobbler and meatloaf, took a walk, played cards with hubby, and worked on a baby quilt. First time working with flannel. Is kind of difficult. Stretches easily!
