I forgot to mention what I was working on, haha got caught up on the other note. Its still cold here, around 20ish and I'm trying to re-organize the basement, that's my sewing area. I probably won't make a dent.

I've been up about 4 hours and have been working on a donation quilt. I have about all of the blocks finished and sometime today I'll put it together. We are pulling the RV out and I need to vacuum it out and change the sheets to cotton. We have had the flannel sheets on for the last two trips out. We have a rally next weekend north of Houston so I would like to get things pretty well loaded so that all we have to do is back the truck in and leave. The weather is supposed to be good for the rest of the week. We have had to run the heater for the last week as we have had temps in the low 20's. For here that's cold....I know some of you have had snow up to your eyebrows, but we aren't really used to hard freezes here.

Cleaned the house yesterday,so today I am going to piece together the backing for my healing quilt and try to get it sandwiched today. I sure need to give this sewing room a good cleaning before I start quilting it! Supposed to be 70 degrees today, might have to open up my windows and air out this house!

I wish I was at home to be able to work on something, anything. But I am here at work for a long 12 hour shift, taking care of patients. I did bring a small wall hanging to finish the binding if I have time. If not I will when I get home if not too tired.
Have a wonderful day.

I am waiting for binding to finish baby quilts for my ggds (twins) working on dresden dinner plate blocks for my step daughter's quilt and in off time I am puting the designs on the blocks for my next picto-gram quilt. Cousins brought us up lemons, oranges, and grapefruit that I have to juice and freeze. Never a dull moment in my old age. haha

Today is my 67th birthday and I am being pampered!! While I am here on the board, my son is bringing in the sewing machine and cabinet I found at a yard sale 2 weeks ago (it wouldn't fit in my car plus I couldn't lift it). It's a green Singer 338 born the same year as my son..1964. I love to tell him he's now vintage  . Then he is going to put a new belt on a treadle I got at another sale that same day. His truck really got a workout that day :!: . After all that, I am being taken out for lunch. My daughter who lives in New Orleans, has a long weekend next week and is coming to visit, sew together on a few projects, then she is taking me out for a mani-pedi and lunch at our favorite Chinese buffet. Couldn't ask for anything better than that!!!
