This is what I did, got the Fiskars xtra lrg punch, for 1" hexies, and I buy the cheap posters at walmart for 33cents.

I bought the pieces already cut but if I decide to do another I'll probably take your suggestions and buy the punch. I think I'll stick with the 1" hexagon for this one. Thank you for the suggestions!!!

I really like the way yours looks. It's beautiful!!! Do you have it finished?

My hexies mjeasure 1 3/4 on t5he sides. I wanted to make one, but I am 73 and have heart diesease. Thought it best to go big and finish it. It is a great take along project. I started it in May and should have it done my may of 15. It will be a king size. I just printed off more hexies to get ready for my Christmas cruise. I hope to finish all the white ones (ALMOST 400) while I am gone. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.

I have 1 inch hexagons for English Paper Piecing, but rather than use paper, I ordered the mylar pieces from brandysquiltpatterns.com. I love they are practically indestructible, can be used over and over, my needle slides against the template, and never goes through the edge of it. I mostly work with 60 degree diamonds, and have used the same set of templates hundreds of times. They look just like the new ones my friend just ordered.

I am working on this pattern now and my hexie's are 1 3/4" I made my own out of file cards. Make a couple of different sizes to see what you are comfortable handling. It is a nice project if you want some time with your feet up or would like a take along project. It is also a quiet fire side project.

I have made many hexies..Tried all sizes..I prefer the 1 1/2 size..They are easy to handle and yet not too big or small in my opinion..I also use the plastic templates ..They save u lots of money and time in the long run..I only use 3 templates..I take out as I go..I find the paper it's soft and loses it's shape after a few times..Which loses he true shape ..But mainly it is your personal taste..Made a couple different sizes..Look at them for a iittle while .It will click in which u prefer ...

Crazy quilt ladies? Had not heard of the saying, I'm sure I will be one of them though. Any size you choose will be just fine, I prefer big compared to small.

I have started a scrappy EPP, using 2" hexies that I ordered the paper from PaperPieces. Right now, I just keep making them. If and when they will ever get made into anything??
