cutting a straight

I am not an expert quilter, and have always had trouble cutting a straight line. I tried using a chalk-line to get a straight line. It works great. Has anyone else tried this?

Only on dry wall! :lol: I can see where it would work, but would worry about staining the fabric.

I use my rulers & rotary cutters, but if I was using scissors to try & cut a straight line, then it sounds like a good idea.

I can't even DRAW a straight line with a ruler!!!
