I totally agee! The pkg i got, the blades were too dull.
Jhittle.com has generic 45mm blades that are much sharper (as good as Olfa)
For 10/$18.00. That makes them 1.80 each. If you order other things or with friends,
it is free shipping with $100.00 order.

I have bought them also. they are ok but not as sharp. I now pay the extra and buy Olfa they roll and cut better for me.

It may be that if a person has a long of arm strength, the HF blades might work ok. Usually we are changing out a pretty dull blade when we finally get around to changing the blade and at first the HF might feel so much better the older blade you don't notice that aren't as sharp as a new Olfa blade. That's my idea any way. I bought the titanium blades when JoAnn's had them 50% off plus a 10% off total purchase and didn't notice they are any better. I do have to admit that I'm hard on my blades because I hit the side of the ruler occasionally.

That's supposed to be a lot of arm strength. Spell check doesn't work if you have the completely wrong word spelled correctly.

I was at Harbor freight today, purchased carpet cutter blades brought them home and got my cutting board out and cut a piece of fabric and was really surprised at how well it cut. For $1.98 for 2 blades i will be buying more.I priced the real blades last week and they were $9.99 for 2 blades. They are near the back of my store on the right hanging on peg board .The pkg is yellow and says replacement carpet cutter blades. The card is about the size of a business card ,kinda hard to spot. I also purchased the rubber mat it locks together, it was only $7.00.My first trip to harbor freight, but i will be going again.

I tired a two-pack and, like many here, had mixed results. They cut beautifully at first but I have to press down more with the cutter. After a while they more scored my fabric than actually cut it and I had to go back and finish half my cuts by hand. My Fiskar's titaniums cut like a hot knife in butter. You get what you pay for in this one, IMHO.
