    Thanks for all the suggestions...hoping I have time to make one to carry the quilt....heck I haven't even started making the quilt which has to be to auction on the 18th of this month...I know get moving...lol.....I already had all the material picked out and pattern before I left for holidays.....and to cut cut cut and sew like mad...good thing I have a longarm machine....

    I always try to wash mine before I give them away (however, sometimes finishing them in the wee hours of the morning that they're to be given prevents that!). I like the "quilty" look that they get after that first wash/dry. As for a bag - I think it would be so easy to do and what a neat idea to add to the "gift". :thumbup:

    why not make a couple pillow cases and put the quilt in one and include the other.
