Yes, that happened to me too. Purchased fabric, never did anything with it but I think of it as a "set". I went thru and gave it away to my Guild's community quilts group. I'm into batiks now so if it wasn't a batik, out it went.

Oh man I thought we were going to have a barnyard story! I like pigs! I have never heard of this term before. Welcome to the world of a quilter. We all buy fabric that sooner or later doesn't speak to us. For me it's usually fabric I found on sale somewhere and couldn't resist. If I can't use it for backing I just resell it. Getting rid of clutter feels good! I'm sure there are women/men on the board who would bee interested.

I use any "ugly" or unwanted fabric to make rice bags (5"X17") for my son in laws vet clinic. They warm them in the microwave and use to keep their patients warm after surgery. After a while just toss and ask MIL to make more. I have also used some fabric for them to wrap tools in to be sterilized. You may ask at your local clinic if they would be interested.
