Wow, great prints. What a wonderful friend!
On my quilt with Hawaiian prints I used an assortment of black on black fabrics. Worked very well. I found, however, that the more intense blacks worked better than the grayed blacks.
Persoonally I don't think you can go wrong using such lovely fabric but I remember somewhere I saw a quilt of 'shirts' applique. When we were there the Hawaiian print shirts were the common way for native men to wear

Oh that is sooooooo beautiful!! A few pics sure would have helped make the tute a little clearer, but hopefully I'll be able to figure it out when it's time. Thank you so much!! hugs and smiles!
Ohh Carrie, You could do a lovely landscape quilt with these.
I love the 'postcards from Hawaii' quilt and you could cut the squares you have in half to make it nice size quilt.
