Misty's Mom, please don't remove the label. One of the important points I was trying to share with you is that very, very often a pattern has numerous names. Sooooooo.....your pattern name is not wrong it is just one of the many variant names for that particular pattern.
Think of it this way.....if you are concerned that it have the "correct" name, then you might feel compelled to make a label with 7 different names just to be sure you covered all your bases! Now I'm not saying that is the exact number in this situation, but trying to illustrate how challenging that could be.

I would have figured 1950's also, I did lots of sewing in the 70's and those calico prints didn't seem to match that era. Very special quilt and quilting! I do hope we get to see the finished product.

You have a treasure - and how nice you are to finish it for your brother. I would guesstimate the date from how old you were when you remember her working on it. It's hard to put a date on it from the fabrics, because she may not have made it when the fabrics were printed - and they may have been from clothes no longer worn.

I love your quilt and it's wonderful that you've quilted it and have someone in the family to pass it on to. It will bring happy memories for years to come. Your mother would be so pleased you did this in her memory.
