All of you who are into stained glass quilts, have you found the patterns available from Dover books? Not specifically for quilts, but several books of different categories (e.g., floral, nature, modern)of patterns . My past experience with Dover is that they publish very high quality but low cost art books. You can also sign up for free weekly samples of patterns by email. Link for a stained glass book is http://www.doverpublications.com/des...2/sample11.htm Click on "buy this book" there to get listings for 5 or more others, too.

I use a lot of stained glass patterns for applique. I usually just use the free ones I find online. I have hundreds of them, more than I will ever use. I save them to a memory card, put the card into a tiny projector I have, show them on the wall and trace to any size I want.

Cool idea! What is the projector?

The projector is Samsung LED Visual Mobility Projector. My boyfriend got it for me for Christmas as that is what I asked for. It is about the size of a camera. Kinda pricey though, about 300.00. I love it, use it all the time. I can take any pic and enlarge it. I do it a lot with coloring book pages that I use for applique. I just put it on the table and aim it at the wall, adjust size by moving it closer or further away, tape paper on wall and trace the lines.

eBay has "buy it now" listings at $189 and up for that projector.... http://cgi.ebay.com/SAMSUNG-LED-PICO...-/260754647811 There used to be a plastic toy-like version available; I used it for years in my cake decorating. Mine was a gift; came from a catalog, and I've seen them since in those miscellaneous-stuff catalogs like Walter Drake and such. Low-tech, but low price too. Or enlarge pattern on a photo copier if you don't need to do often, though you'd probably have to do it in pieces.

I just learned how to do stained glass before I lost part of my vision. Now I want to do it with a quilt.

Thanks for sharing!
