Yes I've tried google, and image searches, and i just can't find it anywhere. Its such a beautiful quilt. I found it on pinterest but only a image, not an actual webpage.

This is setting that I use for exchange blocks that are different sizes. Try Googling "wonky" quilt block settings.

Looks as though they have mage a block with partial seams as each square has 4 different colours around it http://learnhowtoquilt.com/quilt-tut...partial-seams/, it looks as though the centre square is around 5" and maybe try your strips at around 2 1/2 " and then you need to get a square template (similar to how you would use and x blocks template http://www.kiwiquilts.co.nz/site/kiw...20Oct%2008.pdf ) to cut your wonky square.
I would have a play and see how you go.

Something like this may help you get started:

http://www.quiltdad.com/2009/09/quil...bin-block.html

It's not exactly the same but it may give you some ideas.

I want to say fons and porter calls it a tilted block. It looks like that to me. Good luck!

I really like this quilt!!!
I hope someone can tell us the name. It looks like a square and then long triangles.

As my DH wants to move this would be ideal for the kids to have their friends write a message to them.
