I make bags with ribbon around the top opening for pull closure. I never get the bags returned! I think the bags are a bigger deal than the gifts.

yea-although, I don't need an excuse to buy more fabric! I can't resist a good sale-Joann's has had their premium quilting fabrics on sale for a few weeks for 30-50% off-plus I was able to use my 20% off total purchase coupon-I bought tons of Debbie Mumm, Susan Winget and Stonehill when it was 50% off and still got to use my additional coupon for 20%. I also found some on the red tag table for $5.00-but they were discounting all them by another 50%-so it made it $2.50/yard-plus my 20% coupon. How can anyone resist that??? Now, if I can only find a pattern I like that doesn't need more yardage of any of the fabs I got! Merry Xmas to Me!!

My kids use them for school projects all the time. It works great!

Good idea

I just thought of one - how about cutting pasta dough or even cookie dough.

Sometimes there's more than one baker at the counter :)

And don't your quilting rulers work great when they have posters to do???? Everything ends up so nice and straight!

Great idea UNTIL you cut on the table and not on the mat!

Then I would have to get a "kitchen" cutting mat too. I really like that idea. :)

Sounds like a good idea, but the paper I was using was way to long.

Ooh! Great idea. I'm going to dig my dull blades out of my "sharps" container (plastic coffee tub) and try this! Hopefully will speed up my wrapping...there is still quite a bit to do! Thanks!
