I really like all the ideas for storing fabrics. You gals are great!!! I thought I had a lot of stash, but after reading all the ways and amounts of fabrics many of you have, I don;t have as much as I thought. But I still need to be better organized with what I do have. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas.

I used to sort by color but it wasnt enough.
Now I have bins for backgrounds, flannel, backings, 1930, Christmas, batiks, kids, marbles, red white and blue, charms, unfinished, and projects to do. My fats are on a bookcase in small baskets that are at the dollar store.

I've thought about this too and put my larger fabric cuts in a separate area and fat quarters also in a separate area, everything else is folded and stacked by color.
