paperdoll quilt- I need advice
I am making a paperdoll quilt for my granddaughter for Christmas. I really messed up by cutting out all of the clothes before I realized I should have ironed on the fusible fleece on the back of them before cutting them out!! Now I don't want to ruin my iron or anything. I was wondering if I could use parchment paper. Do you think it would still stick to the parchment paper? What about the freezer paper? The next question, do I put batting in the paperdoll quilt? Can anyone tell me of some light weight thin batting for it? I have written this question 3 times trying to find the forum. do you have one of those silicone applique sheets? that would be my first choice. after that, my next choice would be freezer paper. i'm not sure if fusible would stick to parchment. why not take a small piece of fusible and iron it between two pieces of parchment - protecting your iron and surface. let us know how it turns out.

I have heard of cleaning the bottom of your iron with a dryer sheet and I have also heard of using dryer sheets in applique so I would assume this would work also. I also used my used sheets I had left under some books for a while to get most of the wrinkles out so I did not have to really iron them so much at first.

Parchment paper is EXACTLY what I would use. I did the exact same thing, only I did it on purpose to conserve my fusible interfacing. I made a sandwich with parchment on the top and bottom and fused away. Parchment is basically what the backing is that comes with the interfacing. It just peels away from the fusible.

thank you to all of you. Yes, I will try it on a scrap first. I have since sent another post with the same questions today. I couldnt figure out the board. Thank you Peggi. I have parchment paper but would have to go and buy some freezer paper.
