Had to share with all of you! For some reason, (I can't remember at the moment) I have also been buying fabric from some of you members, (hence the bug I mentioned in the title ). I received two packages of fabric today and my husband beat me to the mailbox. When I came home he asked what was in the boxes. I told him he wouldn't understand! He just laughed and shook his head. Has anyone else caught this type of bug?

yeah...but mine runs more toward books and magazines. I have more patterns than I will ever finish or even start for that matter. But I can't resist looking AND buying more. And to make it worse...I don't ever use them when I go to make a quilt..I use my own designs 90% of the time. Is that crazy or what??! =)

one of my buyers asked me not to put anything inside the box showing the price she paid for the fabric.

I chuckled to myself....I would never break the Quilter's Creed!...I know that whenever I hid my fabric stash, I always disposed of the purchase price before arriving home.

I think she was afraid her hubby was going to open her goodies.

I would do that. I get so overwhelmed by fabric when I go to the store. I was thinking the other day that I'm getting pretty bored with what I got. Then I try and think outside of the box and find I like it after all. But I would still trade.. =)

Maybe someone should start a thread about making trades.

I probably spent less than $100 on quilting fabric last year. I have been using my stash and trying to finish WIP's. It is really hard to resist buying new fabric. Best way is to stay out of the stores as much as possible.
DH never objects to my fabric purchases. He may think I'm crazy but he doesn't say so.
A thrift store near me has a $5 bag sale occasionally. Men's shirts have a lot of fabric and I can get 6-8 shirts in a bag. I buy wool jackets, pants, and skirts for a friend that way, too.
