Question I'm really interested in EQ7, but I'm a MAC user

Is there a MAC equivalent? I could go PC, but I rarely use my PC.

I also use a Mac. Will never go back to PC. Had to get a program called Parelles (sp ?) to put on my Mac then you put on windows and you can run programs from either or. So more expense getting two other programs. Works ok but IMHO not worth all the expense as I almost never use the EQ. Too much learning curve for me, didnt have the time. Have been thinking about getting the Mac quilt design program.

I have an older version of EQ installed on my Mac to use with Parallels, and it never works right.

    There is this:

but I don't know anything about it. Maybe someone else here has used it.

I also got an app for my Ipad that is surprisingly user unfriendly. You might try searching for GIMP on this board – a member talks about a basic free program you can use on the Mac.

I'd get the Mac version of Quilt Pro instead of EQ7.

Quilt Pro is supposed to be more intuitive to learn and use than EQ7. Doesn't do quite as much as EQ7, but few people ever use all the elements of EQ7 anyway.

Parallels is not the only Windows virtualization program available. There are several very good programs, my husband uses one called VMWare Fusion, he is very pleased with it. It might be worth your while to check out other options.

I use VMWare Fusion too. I like how it has enabled me to run both Wondows and Mac easily on my laptop.

I have VMFusion on my MAC at work. I'll have to give this some serious thought. In addition to the EQ program, I'd have to buy both the VMFusion or Parallels AND windows.....
