Default EQ7 on Mac vs PC

I finally bit the bullet and ordered EQ7 for my PC laptop. I got that version because my PC screen is larger and I figured it would be easier to work on designs (I originally got the PC for Photoshop editing). However, I also have a Mac that's much more portable. Would it be worth the extra $25 to purchase the Mac version as well? Do the two versions work exactly the same or are they different? I kind of want to avoid having two learning curves at the same time but if the programs work the same I may get the Mac version just so I can take it with me when we go on trips and not have to lug around the monster laptop. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks for any feedback!
Debbie

Quilt in a day just got them up on their site ~ their price is great + free ship over $100. Search their site for "3475-07MAC" and it should come up. The item needs to be put into the cart to view the price.

Just $25.00, I would say YES !!! I love my EQ5 but looking for a really good half of sale to jump to EQ7 if I need to upgrade to a newer computer.

Deb, make sure the Mac version at QIAD is the $25 migration kit. I'm thinking you can only order that one through EQ. Don't pay full price for it if you don't have to!!

Cindi is correct ~ the QIAD product # I quoted in above post is for the boxed full MAC version. I don't know if they have the migration kit.

Thanks to everyone - I just downloaded the EQ7 migration kit from the Electric Quilt website for $24.95 and am up and running on my Mac now. So I can use the PC if I want the larger screen, or the Mac if I want more portability - best of both worlds. I've wanted this software for awhile now and feel like it's Christmas! I'm going through the video tutorials and can already see this program is everything I thought it would be, plus a LOT more!
