Moda

I bought a jelly roll that is from Moda's line. Jelly Rolls are normally around $24 to $35 depending on many strips are in the roll. I found mine for $17.50 as a daily deal so I bought 2. The strips were all cut the same and good quality. I know at MSCO a yard of their fabric is now $5.95/yd. Cheapest I have found thus far.
From what I can tell, most name brands run about the same.

I have some of the patterns from the Moda bakeshop. They are really cute for the pre-cuts that you can get now. I haven't finished any yet but I have all the patterns with the precuts ready to go, just need to find the time!

I can only shop online right now and I mostly buy moda....Very good quality and like they said it goes on sale alot. Hancocks of Paduach has tons on closeout right now. Downfall tho is when you see a line you like buy with a project in mind it is hard to find fabrics 1 or more years later. I have had luck with Robert Kaufman as well, great quality! Since I cant feel the fabric in the store I have to go buy what I know from the brands!

Moda is concidered to be one of the "premium" quality manufactures of fabric for quilting. Many seek out Moda for the quality of the fabrics the patterns are printed on as well as the beautiful prints. There are many different lines within the Moda Brand. As stated earlier they are very popular and many fabrics within a specifc line will sell out very quickly. I have learned the hard way to buy it when I see it( in sufficient quanities) or I may never see it again.

I don't usually buy Moda, but I received Moda fabric from a guild for a comfort quilt I made recently. In this case, I thought the fabric was rather flimsy, but it was well printed and made a nice quilt. If I had found it in the store, I would not have bought it because it felt very thin. I don't think that's a normal reaction to Moda, however, so it's possible that this fabric was not typical of that line.
