Thanks for all your help. I moved the needle and 2 squares came out right. Now just to remember to change it. I guess I will put a note by my machine so I will remember.

Be sure to access whether/how your cutting, pressing, and even thread choice are affecting the finished block size. I found out that it's not all in the sewing.

I put the note under the presser foot when I leave the machine to remind me of any settings that I need to make when I come back to it. Too easy to forget .... and I don't like having to rip it out later! :)
