I'm hoping someone could help me with this problem.

I purchased a embroidery design CD. There's numerous designs files for different machine. I have a Janome 10001 and it reads the file "JEF". I transfered it to my memory card, but my embroidery machine can't read it. It said that it's a damaged file. I don't understand what the problem is. I've never had any problem before. I've already update my customerizer software too thinking that would fixed the problem and it doesn't.

Anyone has a suggestion for me to fix this problem?

Is the memory card damaged? Can you read any files off the memory card other than that one?

No, the card is not damaged. The machine is able to read other files on the card. I've downloaded the design file into two other memory cards and I got the same message. The file is damaged!

How about any of the other files off the CD?

None of the file works from that CD. I've talked to the digitizer and she even sent me another file and it doesn't read it either.

Make sure the files are in the folder on the memory card otherwise it won't read them.

Put an e-mail or call into the manufacturer. If none of the files on the CD work and you've never had a problem with any other CD before, there's an issue with that one. Maybe the manufacturer is even aware of it and will e-mail you the files or send you a replacement.

I worked for a Janome dealer and we saw this problem every now and then. How many designs do you have stored in your machine or on your card. You may have too many. Pull some of them back to your computer or delete them if you retain the original source.

Thanks Susan, I'll try that. I do have quite a few file in the card. I'll let you know later tomorrow when I get a chance to work on it.
