Default Janome Horizon 7700QCP

Any pros or cons on this machine?? I have a 6500 and really wish I had purchased a 6600 (you know the minute you buy something you realized you missed something even better!!) soooooooo rather than buying a 6600 the 7700 has peaked my interest. Any and all input is greatly appreciated!!!!!

I think it depends on the person, I know some liked their 6600 over their 7700 but some prefer the 7700, but I think they replaced them with the 8900 so you might want to look into those as well because I know they fixed some of the things people didn't like about their 7700 on the newer versions.

I love my 6600P - thought about getting a more involved machine and then didn't want to deal with the additional bells and whistles. But the 2 shops I go to will give you a full purchase price within 6 months at one shop and 12 months at the other.

Two years later I bought my Viking embroidery machine. Didn't want to trade in my Janome since I use both machines at the same time a lot of the time.

Look at the 8900 while you are there. I went to the shop for the 7700 and they showed me the 8900 for a few $$$ more. I came home with the 8900 and love it.

I can't help you with the 7700 but I did just buy the 8900 and love it. I had a 6600 already but the new machine is fantastic.

You should also look at the Janome 8200. It's the same as the 8900 but has fewer fancy stitches. At my dealer it was much cheaper and I knew I'd never use the extra 100 stitches. Love it for free motion...

I have the 7700 and I do like it, but if I was buying today, I would look at the 8900.

I have had the 6600 for about a year and don't get along with it(I have it for sale) but I just got a used red face 7700 last month and love it, quilted a queen sized quilt on it over the holidays.
