My Babylock Aria purchased this past Feb. has how many stitches it has stitched. Not in front of it at the moment and am not sure where it is located but I come across it every once in a while looking for something else.

I have just been on another site where the writer says she has an upgraded 11000 and, if she holds down the needle threading and cutting buttons at the same time as switching on, the screen tells her 'Power x and Drive x. She presumes the first no relates to the hours the machine has been on and the second, to the hours working. I've just tried it on my upgraded 11000 and it works! My numbers are similar to hers - Power2815 Drive 263. Like me, she does a lot of paper piecing which doesn't involve continuous sewing. I would think that if this info is on the upgraded 11000, it will also be on the 12000. Don't know if that's any help?!

I think the dealers like to keep their little secrets so that they can haggle on their prices. To me, if it sews a beautiful stitch and looks good, its okay. I know that if your trading up, knowing that would be a temendous help to you. Hope you find out the info you want to know.

I know my Olympus camera has a "secret code" to find out how many shutter clicks it's had...I think there are probably ways to access info on sewing machines, too.I would like to see these manufacturers put a clock(timer) on machines so we can keep track of the hours we've put into each project..as for why it's there...I suspect it has something to do with the warranty.."not for industrial use" type thing...I imagine a sweat shop could wear out a machine pretty quickly!
