    Default Just wondering if.....

I was just wondering if anybody is working on anything to commemorate the 4th of July. I copied this pattern down a long time ago. I think from one that might have been posted here on this board that I think is pretty neat. I'm in the process of cutting my fabric now. WARNING! The drawing is crude. I plan to make it in (of course ) red, white and blue. What do you think?

That's a wonderful idea and I love it!

Years ago, I bought some beautiful fabrics, in dark red, navy, and off-white. At the time, I was just making blocks, so didn't get that much of them. For the past year, I've been watching for similar (go-together) fabrics, to make a r/w/b quilt. Still looking but haven't given up.

My friend Terri is going to use 5 inch blocks and I think I'll use 2.5 inch blocks. She is going to make a table topper and I am going to make a quilt. I thought it would look neat in a smaller version and have several of them. I also think a bigger one will look pretty cool too. Anybody else want to join in and maker their own version? It down't have to be red white and blue. I think any color scheme would be neat.

I wanna play! I'm not working on anything right now so I think I will join you! I've got some nice americana red, off white and blue fabrics. I'm going to do 2.5" also. Should we work on them and then meet back here to show them off?

I could find some R,W & B, but not the time. May I ask for future reference why is block 5,4 a HST? My eyes keep jumping there.

I have a R,W & B wreath that was on my door all the years my son was in the Marine Corps that now is used at this time of year. I also have a T-shirt, but nothing quilted yet.

Looks like a very nice block. I have several outfits that I've made in the past, and am quilting some things for the Oregon Quilting TV show next week.
