I love, love, love Kaffe Fasset fabric. That being said, I have no problem using other fabric with his. I do like his shot cottons and use from other lines. I also have mixed in Tula Pink and Amy Butler fabrics on occasion. As others have said, my quilt - my choice!

The only time it should stop you from putting certain fabrics together--Fassett's or otherwise -- is if YOU gasp in horror. Or the person you're giving it to. I love Kaffe's bold, bright, unique style fabrics, and have sloooowly been starting to collect a few, but when I browse Pinterest for Kaffe quilts, the ones that appeal to me have some solids and prints of low volume from other lines. His are almost all florals and swirls or geometrics, if I'm not mistaken. I personally can't handle that much color and noise. It's like walking into Chuck E. Cheese for a 4 year old's birthday party.

Now, we could all join forces and play a joke to mess with you, put on our Quilt Police uniforms, and collectively gasp in horror when you post your quilt, but we won't. We are cheerleaders and we don't wear badges. If you're happy with your fabrics, that's all that matters.

I finished the hexagon rosette made mainly with Kaffe but with lots of solids and other fabric I liked that matched. no rules about what fabric can go with what. I often use the "wrong" side when I need lighter colors. the fabric and quilt are yours, do what ever you like

I LOVE KF fabric, but my eyes need a place to rest because the colors are so saturated. As a result, when I use the KF fabric I always mix it with fabrics that give my eyes a place to rest.

I have a friend who routinely uses a couple of Kaffe Fasset fabrics in most of her quilts

I made a quilt with Kaffe Fassett fabric and put in other bright fabric - never gave it a thought.

Kaffe is all about colour... he just loves colour and he would not care where you purchased it from!

You go for it!

Hugs

Your fabric, your quilt, your design. No kaffe cults here! I used his bordered diamonds pattern and used all kinds of large florals

Omgoodness! I mix everything with everything lol. It's fabric like all the rest of your stash. Now I am thinking of making a dress out of just his fabric, top will be one fabric and tree tiers of different ones of his line as well.....
