The Art of Classic Quiltmaking by Harriet Hargrave is a great book, on my Christmas wish list. I have both the Fons and Porter and Better Homes and Garden books, between the two I like The Better Homes and garden book, Wished i had found Harriet Hargraves first, I did find that one at the local library.

Try your local library-that way you can try several books and buy the one you like the best

I would also suggest the free Block of the month class on Craftsy.com and the book The Quilter's Catalog. I agree the Better Homes and Gardens guide to Quilting is excellent as well as the Quilter's Bible. Eleanor Burns and Nancy Zeimann have great tutorials and shows, and there are many great ones on uTube.

I really like these 2 books!

Just a side note on experience from ordering books online through amazon.com that each time I have ordered the Used books I've never been disappointed with the condition of the book. However, I do pay close attention to the description of the condition on the used book.

Morning Karen, If you could send me her info, I would send a few books for the media mail postage. It will have to be in a couple of weeks due to me moving and everything is packed up and ready to be moved tonight and tomorrow. But let me know.
