Interesting about franz/inklingo. Have you asked her this question? Someday she will retire, then what. That is a strange arrangement. Like i said before, was not involved long enough on site to have to re-sign.. I do remember now, the login was only good for so long then you did have to redo something?????

also speaking of mag quiltmania....isnt that one pricey?

Linda Frantz (and anyone else who sells patterns) is just making sure you aren't sharing and passing on the pattern to people who haven't purchased it. Any pattern you pay to download would be treated the same. You should be backing up your computer to an external hard drive or the cloud so you don't lose everything on it when the computer has a catastrophic failure. You would have the same issue with much software as well.

My local quilt shop is doing a Quilt Along this year. We checked into getting a die for the Accuquilt, but not available. Where/how do you get a die made?

Here is a kit with one block. I have seen several of the blocks from this merchant very beautiful. They also sale supplies. If you Google, Lucy Boston kits, several shops come up for supplies.

It's on the Accuquilt website. You click on custom dies. You design the die you want. They make it. There is phone number on the website to call if you prefer to talk to a person about it. If someone has wanted the same die made then you have to get permission to have it remade but usually the person okays the die for remake when it's ordered.

I think someone looked at the dies for sale and said there isn't one and left it at that.

I went to jab yesterday and bought mag quiltmania...interesting suggestion for lucy boston potc....as an aside, i must say that magazine is a bit different and pattern presentation is so different from others. I know its an overseas publication ( australian, i believe). I think I'll order acrylic template and papers from paperpieces and try one this way.....

This has been on my wish list for a long time....I need to finish a few other hand projects first!
An inspirational blog that I love is

http://sewandsowfarm.blogspot.com/

She also sells a starter kit on Etsy with the acrylic the plate, or just the templates, very reasonably.

Not affiliated, just in awe of her work!
