I am doing this Crafty class too, but haven't got to Aug. I really don't like the wonky blocks very much, but it's fun to watch as I exercise!!

Keep doing the flying geese like you always do, that is the correct way. I think they just skipped a step when they were taping.

Happy Quilting.

I've always pressed it first and then sewn on the last piece. I can't see it working any other way?

If you go to the class materials icon under the video, you can print out the instructions (and pattern pieces when used) and it shows pictures of how to make the flying geese. I think these will help you tremendously.

I agree. You could tell the clip was edited poorly. I really enjoyed making the blocks and appreciated Jcrow's post because it reminded me to get the instructions for the August BOM. Thanks!

I haven't used flying geese blocks for a while. I have made lots of them before. I want to try the cut down method and see how that works.
