I am in year 4 of breast cancer treatment and absolutely do not want any pink ribbons on anything. I know people mean well but like was posted above it is a constant reminder. So maybe find out how the intended recipient feels? Just my 2 cents.

This has touched on a sensitive subject for many. When my brother was going thru chemo for colon cancer I made him a lap quilt to represent Texas (where he lived). He fought a long hard battle and succumbed after five years. I know for a fact he would never have wanted to be reminded. I also have a grandson with Muscular Dystrophy and I would never make him anything that represents MD.

Sorry for your loss, Joyce888. I agree with you, instead of reminding folks of their condition, let's just make something beautiful that will cheer them up. So many of you are very generous to help with fundraising and comfort quilts, make something that stands on it own as beautiful.
